Providence Pediatric Endocrinology - St. Vincent

Have not yet seen a provider, will later in the month, but based on the call I just had with a clinic staff, I have become frustrated with them. While providence and doctors in general have a duty to care, this staff seems set on money and getting paid, regardless of the person on the other end of the phone. I havent even had the appointment yet, and theyre already rudely asking for money.

The clinic manager is extremely rude. I told them the information they had is wrong for my child's insurance. I told them if they called and confirmed insurance with Providence they would know that Providence is primary, regardless of if it was primary or secondary the insurance will still pay and they can not deny services to my child. I was hung up on. I called Providence Customer Service myself to confirm the COB and they confirmed Providence as primary which tells me the manager lied to me when she said she called herself to confirm. Both Kaiser and Providence have the legal documents on file to show Providence is primary. I called back to tell them maybe they had the wrong mbr number for my son and no one will call me back to clear any of it up.

This endocrinology group is awesome. Dr. Hosono is very good and friendly. Good with kids and the office is very efficient. We are very happy with his care.
