Krisanna and her team brought our home to life!!! If youre considering working with them, dont hesitate from setting up a consult call - theyll never pressure you and just want to help you get what you want. This was our first experience with any kind of design service and working Recast was a true dream. Our home is so beautiful, cozy and livable. It brings us real joy every day. Wed just purchased our first home in Portland and had never truly invested our living. We knew we wanted our new (modern) house to have a lot of warmth, but had no idea how to even approach that vision. Krisanna held our hand through every step -from helping bring interior visions to life with 3D renderings, really listening to the vision of cozy modern, and showing us what it actually takes to realize it. Then, when we went into project mode - she and her team handled EVERYTHING. I never had to worry about being home or available for any deliveries or contractors, she was always there and eagle eyeing the work being done. She always made space to ensure I loved loved loved the end result. Krisanna took even the smallest feedback so seriously before she let the team call a job complete (painting, installing, etc). The contractors that work with her love and respect her - they take her feedback on their work seriously and want to do a great job for her and her clients. She would monitor the projects with such an intense attention to detail, making sure everything was high quality. The truly amazing this was that shed then also translate any and all of my whims/wishes to the team to see if they could make them happen. She never made me feel like a lot, or demanding, and it just became so much fun to see it all come just come to life. And now the end product is just better than I could have ever dreamed of (and we dreamed big). Because our house is so lush and cozy now, its become the central hangout spot for my entire family. I have become even more of a homebody because who would ever want to leave this house!!!!! Krisanna and team did so much more than just design services, they really helped us start our life in Portland by making us feel like we have a wonderful home to call our own. "We were first time home renovators so our biggest concerns were finding someone local (small business owner) who we felt was going to be an active listener, trustworthy, reliable, and would not try to upsell us through each stage of the project. Looking back at the project it was large. With Krisanna's reassurance, each step felt manageable and she had great communication to keep us apprised of what was being done at present and what was coming up next. In total we ended up renovating 2 of the 3 floors of our home: main bedroom, added a full en suite bathroom, brand new kitchen, opened up the main entryway and added a mudroom/pantry at the backdoor. Krisanna is an excellent project manager and returned our now beautifully renovated home to us all within 6.5 months. Truly incredible the amount of the work they did during that short time. One of Krisanna's many skill sets is project management and organization, so overall there were very few surprises or challenges that came up in total; she worked hard to plan ahead for any and all possible scenarios. Our home was built in 1924 so when we started demo and opening walls there were few things that we needed to address. She immediately called us (usually facetime) to talk through what happened but since she always planned ahead we already had back up plans so it was just a matter of confirming what those next steps were going to look like and confirming the change order. If you are looking for someone with excellent communication and project management skills, with a keen eye for design, then you really do not need to look any further. Krisanna met and exceeded every expectation we had for this project, and on top of that she is a friend who we still keep in touch with regularly. It was very reassuring knowing that she was on site everyday and providing us morning & evening updates to the work that was getting done, there was never a day in the project that our home wasn't being worked on, even when there were delays, the team always provided a creative solution on how to keep the project moving along. Krisanna and her whole team did an amazing job for me. I put off doing a remodel on my 2nd floor for way too long because I didn't know where to begin. Recast Homes was highly recommended to me. Krisanna is both the designer and contractor and incredibly talented. I felt completely at ease the minute I met Krisanna, Kaley and the team. Krisanna listened to my wants and concerns. She transformed my bedroom and bathrooms into a zen space. They gave me what I wanted and so much more. I'm beyond grateful. Krisanna and her team are so organized and detail oriented. They set the schedule and stuck to it. She is a hands on designer and contractor. She handled the normal bumps along the road with grace. I couldn't be happier. Recast Homes is the real deal. Krisanna is kind, creative, calm, professional, responsive and talented and has built a team of people with those same traits. We remodeled our master bedroom and bathroom with Recast last year and have been reveling in the space ever since. After receiving many quotes from a variety of contractors Krisanna was the first person to enter the space and immediately propose a completely new and unique idea. Her quote was accurate and transparent. The flow of the design process was full of fun and excitement as Krisanna presented us with an assortment of great ideas - all while remaining open to our wishes and needs. As construction started the stress of previous remodels was washed away as we realized that Krisanna was there to handle everything. She met sub-contractors, checked in regularly and communicated as needed. Jesus, her foreman was incredible. He was punctual, friendly and worked incredibly hard each day! Our bathroom is an absolute sanctuary now. One that we are so grateful for. Service: Remodeling

We bought a house in Portland during COVID. At the time, we were living out of state. Before we moved in, we wanted to do some disruptive work on the house. This left us with the huge task of finding a designer, a general contractor, and do everything without being able to meet any of them in person. And we knew hardly anyone in Portland. We found 3 designers and interviewed them over the phone. Krisanna specifically wanted to see the house, so we gave her the lockbox code and we FaceTime'd through it. I should note that she's better with FaceTime than anyone I've met, which came in very handy! She had a lot of ideas and energy and was able to understand what we wanted very quickly. She seemed very excited to take on the project. A huge bonus is that she's not just a designer, but also a general contractor. So she could manage the whole project too. The simplification was appealing to us. She was the clear winner. Although we were very happy with her design work, especially paint colors and an inexpensive makeover she did on an ugly master bathroom, she really shone with managing the project. She provided remarkably accurate date projections going out as far as 4 weeks. This is not something we've seen with any contractor before. Also important is that the project came in very close to budget, if you ignore all the stuff we added as the project unfolded. She was always easy to reach by phone and by text and would give us frequent updates. She was on site either all the time or during the important parts of the day to check on and verify the quality of the work. I've had many contractors in the past promise this, but Krisanna delivered. The major parts of our project consisted of: Sanding the hardwood floors, removing all the carpet and installing cork flooring, painting the interior, constructing an indoor/outdoor catio, and building two aviaries (one indoor and one indoor/outdoor). Everything came out beautifully. We happened to have an amazingly terrible remodelling experience on our previous house so we were very sensitive and bruised from that experience. Krisanna restored our faith in the existence of good contractors that do great work and have high quality subs. I'm only afraid in writing this review that she'll be too busy to take on our next project.
