This is a great hotel! We got the king room with corner view and kitchenette. It was a great space! Beautiful exposed brick, multiple windows that opened! And a kitchette with cook too, microwave, sink and fridge. Black out roll down blinds and sheer curtains to let in light. Parking was underground with pretty tight spots so don't bring your big ol truck but the elevator lead right to the lobby for easy transport of your bags. The hotel was clean and kept up while still having a historic charm with modern design. Ice machine is located on bottom floor for the whole hotel but the elevator is a quick strait shot down. Wine hour at 4pm with cheese and crackers (not gourmet cheese but hey, it's complementary). Walking distance to MANY restaurants, whole foods, cvs, Powells and more. There were some things that were drawbacks: if you need it silent this isn't the place. It's not loud per say but you can hear when people slam their room doors or if someone is walking down the hall. Also the street car is out front so you hear that low rumble. It did not bother me or prevent me from sleeping but for someone sensative it might. Our bathroom didn't have a fan and there were some staining in the floor, sink and tile. Generally it seems cleaned but I am weird about bathrooms if there are stains I automatically feel like it's dirty. I'm sure it was clean just color remaining. All in all, I very much liked my stay and would be back in a heartbeat if I need a hotel. Nearby activities: Food and shops within a few minutes of walking. Walkability: Very easy to walk to shops, grocery store, restaurants and bars. Noteworthy details: Exposed brick details are beautiful!

We've had a fabulous two nights and would absolutely stay here again! The room was lovely, we barely heard anything from the hall or outside (our room was at the end of a hall so we only had a couple other doors near us and that's all we heard was the door across from us closing), and the sheets are the softest sheets I've ever had. I legit tried to find out what sheets and mattresses they use so I can replace my stuff at home with them. The front desk staff are lovely and have great suggestions for places to go and to eat. The area felt safe even though there were a few homeless people around - we found that unlike the main city where we are from, there are homeless people all over downtown here rather than in one concentrated area and we were not concerned at all spending the day walking around or walking back to the hotel after dark. Everything fun downtown is within walking distance, including a really cool food truck pod with a beer garden. We are for sure going to be repeat customers next time we're back in Portland.
