image Great bunch of people who are very caring and compassionate to myself and my very sick dog who had been coughing all night. They made sure my dog could be seen as she has COPD and can get very sick not be able to breath. She is also reactive to dogs and they made sure that the reception area was okay for her to come in and leave while not making her feel like she was a bad dog, treated her with much kindness. I highly recommend this place.

image I dont recommend this place unless your dog is actually dying or has a life threatening emergency. If its a regular emergency and your pet is stable, they wont see you except to check vitals and instead have you on call for 12+ hours. Youre more likely to get into a vet by calling them early. If your dog has something traumatic happening, that they verify, too bad. It doesnt matter if it affects their body, health and mood. $220 just to check vitals is appalling with no follow up care to actually help is not worth it imho. Only plus is they can see you but theyll send you home to wait and never hear back if its not life threatening, when in actuality it is something that needs immediate attention.

image Dr. Trempala from my primary - Pearl Animal Hospital - referred me and my dog Badger to have TPLO surgery with Dr. Novo when he suffered a trauma to his hind leg. The wait for a surgery consult took about a month, which was the SOONEST I could get into a specialist in Portland. After our consult, Dr. Novo assured me that Badger's condition was stable and we were safe to schedule his surgery the following month.
Badger was discharged from his procedure yesterday after being observed overnight. He is normally a very reactive/nervous dog, but I was so pleased to hear from the technician staff that he was comfortable and calm when being hospitalized overnight (they said he even allowed them to pet him!) When I picked him up yesterday, he was fully recovered from his anesthesia and eager to go home! The surgery technician was kind enough to help me get him into the car for a safe journey home.
The team sent me home with clear and concise after-care instructions and were helpful when I called at home with follow up concerns. We have a long road to full recovery, but I am confident that Dr. Novo and his team provided exceptional care and will assist me if need be in his next few weeks of rest.
Thank you to Blue Pearl & Dr. Novo!

image While I'm grateful that BluePearl staff referred me to Tanasbourne in Beaverton, and drained my cat's bladder for free to buy me time to get there, their initial estimate of $5-7K for his treatment and hospitalization (for urinary obstruction) was staggering. Tanasbourne estimate was less than half that and eventual bill on the low end of the range. I'm giving two stars because the staff was compassionate and took steps to make my kitty as comfortable as possible for the trip to another hospital, including some meds to help with his anxiety.

image They saved our little Peters life. After another local urgent care clinic had us restrict our small puppys water intake because he was drinking so much of it and even drinking his pee immediately, Peter was on deaths door within about 12 hours of the water schedule we were instructed to implement. After frantically calling the other clinic for help for four hours, they called me back and said they had done everything they could for him and emailed me a list of about 10 urgent care/ER facilities. They told me that if any had a wait list of less than 8 hours, to jump on it. He wouldnt have made it another 8 hours without serious medical intervention because he was critically dehydrated. I called Blue Pearl and was so relieved when they said get him here immediately. The picture on the left was taken about 2 hours before he was taken to Blue Pearl.
Of course it was expensive but they didnt end up needing all of the money and refunded me about $700. We had a wonderful experience with all of the staff and especially with Dr. Wolff. He was diagnosed with a condition called diabetes insipidus and they kept him for about three days before returning him full of life again. Were so grateful to them for helping our lovely guy. Hes a wonderful dog and truly a bright light in our family.
