Went to therapy at Portland DBT a couple years ago, everything was actually really a good experience! Besides Kathi. She was the youth group leader at the time (i dont know if she still is), she intentionally bullied me during the group and when I went in to be evaluated to transfer to a different group at the same clinic. For example: I was having a conversation with the group about the topic at hand as we could do group discussion, she was quiet at the time during the conversation, at least till I raised my hand a bit later to as a question. She told me, verbatim; youre talking too much, Im no longer choosing to pick you for the remainder of the session. Among with more incidents of me being targeted among others in the group as well. in preparation to being evaluated to transfer, we requested to not have her involved more than was required. She intentionally chose to be the one to do the evaluation against our request. During the evaluation she brought up extremely distressing triggers of mine repeatedly even after being asked to stop (by my mother and myself) she then stated youre obviously not willing to use skills learned in the group and you will be denied to transfer or be in the group till you actually want to use the skills. Obviously shes ignorant and disrespectful and a bully. I would put zero stars if I could. Dont use her as a group leader and if you end up with her request to transfer ASAP.
