This museum is tucked into a ponderosa forest in Bend, OR. The museum has both indoor and outdoor exhibits, all focused on animals, people/cultures, and plants of Oregon's high desert. There are live animals, like a bobcat, hawk, skunk, fow and porcupine that are part of their various, family-oriented programs. There is ample parking and though the museum can get crowded, there is lots of room to move about and lots of sitting areas dotted throughout the property. At the time of this writing, 2 adults and 2 children admission will set you back about $64. We look forward to visiting the High Desert Museum again, during the winter to see how the exhibits change based on the seasons.
