    Having been a customer of Brothers for 15+ years, and having two houses under service contract, the recent lack of customer service is extremely disappointing.During a service contract visit for HVAC, the technician identified a plumbing issue under the house. I asked for a Brother's plumber to look at the problem and give me a quote - which I approved and the work was scheduled for the morning of 2/9/2024.No technician arrived at the scheduled time, and after a call, there was a promise to get someone out ASAP - eventually someone should up mid-afternoon (not really ASAP) but had no idea of what needed to be done - no copy of the work order and when shown the work order said 'I don't do that' - another call the service desk, and get a call back from the HVAC manager, who has no clue as to what is going on. Ask for a call from the plumbing manager and basically Brother's goes radio silent.Spent over $6k with them in the past two weeks, ready to pull the trigger on $10k+ AC replacement, and they apparently are ok with throwing away a customer over a $1900 plumbing job.If Brothers had set out to demonstrate indifference and lack of customer service they couldn't have done a better job than today. The level of customer service demonstrated today rises to a level of incompetence seldom achieved by others.

    A huge shout out to Jeremy Barnes n his team .. Today December 19th 2023 we are getting a new system for our home that i just bought with my mother this year . Sadly my mom passed in November of this year n the brothers heating new I was on a fix income n they found us a great deal . Again Thank you . Happy Holidays . The Wallaces n Sierra family .

    My elderly mother called for an issue with a thermostat in her home and a technician/sales person camed out to the home to inspect the furance and HVAC, both of which were replaced in 2011. She was told the furnace needed to be replaced and should look at the HVAC replacement as well given that it would be less expensive to do both at once. It is more cost effective to replace both at once. When she informed the sales/technician associate that she was getting a second estimate, the associate produced another estimate that was 3 K less. That raised a red flag with me immediately. When this happened, I called the company we have worked with in Charlotte for over 25 years. They did an inspection of the system and told us she did not need to replace the furnace. The rust on it had nothing to do with the operations; it was a result of being in a crawl space outside. The technician informed me the equipment could be financed which is laughable given my parents are 88 and 89. ( I was also going to pay for any equipment which negated the requirement for financing.) This was very unethical, particularly with elderly people who don't have knowledge of mechanical systems. I know this happens all the time with elderly people but it doesn't make it tolerable. I asked that the manger of the office in Charloltte call me back; he has not. This explains the reviews on the internet.

    I had a new unit installed in August. They were very responsive when I needed a new unit. HOWEVER, now that it was cold I turn on the heat and it did not warm up until I got to 79. I called and someone could come out that day. No one showed and they did not tell me until 7:39 that night. Strike 1. They rescheduled to Sunday and again I had to call them to ask when someone was coming. They are short staffed. No call to say they will be late. Again. I have to call. Strike 2. They finally come and my brand new unit is not working. They have to order a part and can come out tomorrow. No, not wasting my day waiting since I have to go to work. Tuesday appointment and no call. I call all day and I have to see if they have the part and can come out today. No that is unacceptable since I have wasted another day and they FINALLY get here at 5:10 (another day wasted) but my time isnt as valuable as theirs is it? Yes, I now have heat THAT WILL NOT TURN OFF and now it is 87 in the house!!!!! Strike 3! I called back and now they will see if someone can come back tonight. Totally unacceptable!!!!!! Terrible service after they put in a new unit WRONG! Now I have to sit in the heat and it will be 80 tomorrow. They basically told me that I didn't know how the heat would actually feel. NO, it was cold air!!! Update: After 4 more visits and a call to have it totally removed, I spoke with a Quality Assurance manager and a field supervisor (who came out to take a look himself and make the correct adjustment and new part for the NEW system), the heat is finally working properly. It only took 10 people --2 installers and 6 technicians 1 field supervisor and a Quality Assurance Manager) to have the new system work properly.
