Elizabeth Flats on 7th @ Laurel

Ever since new management (B7 Properties) has taken over it has been an awful experience. My light went out in the stairwell and it took months to fix leaving the stairwell pitch black and not even being able to see where you were going. They swore it was an entire complex outage and not a simple fix but when I threatened litigation against them it was fixed stat. Now they hired a company to power wash the building and my stuff inside got wet. When I told the leasing manager this she said " Yeah that has has to a few other residents, I hope you have renters insurance" If that has happened to a few other people why wouldn't you make sure that the windows on the other building were not cracked. They need to rectify this and send a cleaner in to clean the apartment and get the water out of the rugs and my couch that is now wet.

Living in this apartment was overall a wonderful experience. The central location made traveling very easy and was within walking distance of Uptown, some of the city's best cafes, shops, and parks. The vibrant atmosphere surrounding the building added a lively touch to my daily life. The apartments are cozy, they don't have luxuries, but they are located in the best area of the city, THE MOST SAFE AREA you can sleep with the doors open. On the downside, it is located in an area with a lot of traffic during the day, but it is something that never bothers me. In general, I would recommend living in this location, since the price-quality ratio is perfect, communication with the management company is immediate (especially Mallory Tsiolkas), they answered my emails in minutes.

Current tenant here - finishing up my year lear and WILL NOT be returning to any complex under this management. Communication from management has been subpar at best, with little notice for temporary evictions (construction projects that were known about for a year prior required tenants to temporarily vacate but we were only given 1.5 months notice and had to decide within a week what we were going to do), and extremely UNPROFESSIONAL communication (or just no communication at all) as to plans for what is happening and what we are allowed to do. I DO NOT recommend ever living in an apartment complex under current management.

Worst place I've ever lived. Mold, sewage back-up, rude people above, the building has structural issues, and management is non-responsive. Save yourself a headache and find somewhere else to live.
