EG PAINTING

I don't often take the time to write reviews, but am happy to do so for this business. I hired EG Painting to strip 90 years of paint off 15 door frames. After having done 5 myself using products like PeelAway and SmartStrip, I could well appreciate the difficulty of the task, which is painstaking, messy, and - in the wrong hands - downright toxic. I called several companies: one never returned my call, another came up with an astronomical figure. I was about to give up when I came across EG Painting. Eli Ramos de Soto came over right away to assess the volume of work. He quoted me a fair price for the job and remained readily accessible throughout the process. Adolfo, a consummate professional with 20+ years of experience did the job efficiently and cleanly. He even took the time to address the spots I had missed on my attempts. In NYC finding experts to help with renovations/repairs can feel overwhelming and it's hard to know who will deliver quality and value. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have found this gem! I couldn't be more pleased with the results!

Gerson and Eli came to see my job very quickly, answered all of my questions, and did the work we agreed on exactly when they said they would. In less than a week, they stripped a lot of paint off a lot of woodwork. I recommend them and would hire them again any day!

It was a great experience having these guys handle my painting and flooring needs. They were quick, professional, and very responsive to all communications. I was very happy with how everything turned out and would definitely call them up again for any contracting work or repairs. Gerson and his team are true professionals. I had spoken with Gerson to go over the job I needed which was to strip layers among layers of paint off my metal pre-war apartment door as part of a broader apartment renovation. I received Gersons quote hours after speaking to him and all the communication with regards to scheduling was a breeze. Having been through months of a renovation already, working with Gerson was amazing! Could not recommend them enough!

I wanted to refinish my metal doors and frames. EG Painting quickly and thoroughly stripped 90 years worth of old paint. Then they cleaned the metal, painted, and clear-coated it. I think my doors look great now! They have insurance and lead-paint training so my co-op had no problem with them. Services: Paint indoors, Drywall repair
