BE CAREFUL OF MANAGEMENT'S CONTRACTORS & SUBCONTRACTORS. They do NOT look into the backgrounds of their subcontractors, and one of them ended up stealing $450 from the apartment.
Even though the subcontractor was being supervised, he had only worked with the super for several weeks. Because the subcontractor works for the super and not the management company, the super had incentive to cover up the theft.
At the end of the day, Next Horizon Management did nothing about the situation and ended up defending the subcontractor.
To make matters worse, when fixing up the apartment, both the super and subcontractor made rape and kidnapping jokes around my girlfriend who was alone with these two older (and larger) men. It makes me sick to my stomach that these are the types of people Next Horizon Management sends to their tenants' apartments.
We do not feel safe anymore in the unit.
