Sleazy group. Paul is lazy and forgets to confirm availability to show apartments. Then he childishly lies to everyone to try and cover his tracks. Its incredible that a company would allow that kind of behavior.

Terrible company, took 5 months for them to send an exterminator. 3 months to get an appliance fixed. Had no full time building super or anyone on call pretty much ever.

I would give zero stars if I could. Where to begin When we were touring the unit we ended up signing for in the East Village, they promised the oven would be replaced when we moved in. Needless to say, a decades old oven was still in the unit when we moved in and never once did Management contact us about updating the appliance. Then, 3 months into our lease, 2 of 2 dryers stopped working rendering the laundry in our building useless and forcing all the residents to walk around the corner to the laundry mat which costs ~$10/load. Although Helm provides a Help #, it is very difficult to get in touch with the actual landlords (Paul I believe is his name). Thus, you get stuck with complaining to the supers or the management assistants who hold no power and act as human shields for the landlord. The only answer we could get all year is that Management is waiting for the appropriate permits in order to fix the Dryers. Once again, needless to say, they never fixed the laundry room. We decided not to resign, among the reasons I already listed, because they raised our rent by over 30%. When it was time to move out, we were charged a $300 cleaning fee for mold in our shower that was present when we moved in, albeit painted over by white paint at that time. All this is to say, Helm Management is incredibly unprofessional and all they care about is making the next penny. If you like dealing with scummy landlords, Helm Management is for you!
