image This was the worst Marriott hotel I have ever stayed at.
Even though the check-in time was set for 10:30, when I arrived at 11:00, I was told that there were no rooms available and that it would take 2-3 hours for a room to be ready.
When I returned at 3:30 p.m., I was told that there were still no rooms available and that none of the rooms had been cleaned. I was asked to wait at the hotel if I could come again after some time, so I waited in the hotel lobby for about an hour, but there was no progress notification, and when I checked on the progress, I was finally able to get a room prepared. I did. At that time, I was already over 17.
When I entered the room, the air conditioner was already set. The toilet paper hanger in the bathroom was broken and so was the floor. There were many places where the paint wasn't finished. We informed them of this situation and asked them to exchange rooms, but they told us that there were no rooms available in the same condition as the one we had booked, so we would like them to stay in that room today.
I was asked to change the room because I could change the condition of the room, but I was refused. I was very angry at the reception staff, so I asked for a refund on my first night's room charge or to be moved to a hotel in the same Marriott group. When I finally spoke with the hotel supervisor, I was immediately given the same conditions. A new room was prepared for us. (I called the manager, but he said he couldn't get through.)
From this response, I felt angry at the hotel's attitude of lying and trying to accommodate us in a room in poor condition even though they had a room.
The coffee maker in the new room was so dirty that I couldn't believe it was a newly opened hotel.I asked for a replacement, but it was never replaced during the four days I stayed there. Also, the towels had red stains that looked like blood, and there were always too few towels, and when I asked for more on the phone and app, they never brought them. I don't want to stay at this hotel again.

image I stayed here Labor Day weekend, and Im Sooo thankful I decided to go ahead and stay here despite the negative reviews. If you read some of the reviews you might think this is the worst hotel ever. That is not the case!
Pros:
Great location walkable to many trains including Times Sq 42nd St station
spacious room (although I had an accessible room)
nice firm/comfortable mattress
hardwood floors!!!
friendly staff
Elevator Frequency (wasnt waiting all day)
Cons:
bathroom sink (not enough space to leave toiletries)
hallways a tad dirty/junk
At the end of the day, youre in NYC so essentially youre not even staying in your room much anyways!!

image Spend the extra cash for a nicer hotel! As a previous ambassador member, now titanium elite, Ive stayed at 30 different Marriott properties across 6 states for over 200 nights in the past 2.5 years.
This is by far the worst.
The only pleasant experience I had was with the ladies at the front desk, one of them is Erica. Ask for her.
1) None of the showers have doors. I was on the 32nd floor - the bathroom floods.
2) Several base boards throughout the room were broken.
3) A few outlets were broken.
4) Certain Member levels get pantry access. Basic selections. Good coffee. Milk isnt stored properly.
5) When I asked for extra towels to soak up the flooding, I was told no.
