I was completely shocked to have been treated with the kind of disrespect and indifference as I was in my last visit to Dr. David Poimans office. His hygienist JAMES did NOT rinse my teeth or mouth or ask me to spit at all DURING AND AFTER this cleaning where he allegedly applied MEDICINE. The usual post procedure polishing was done with no mouthwash or rinse. It was really abusive. The following day I felt pains in my lower leg and went to the ER where they gave me another round of oral antibiotics for a BACTERIAL INFECTION. I called the doctor and he seemed to mock my complaint, pretending he was unaware of his hygienists lack of ATTENTION to his work (the doctor himself remarked it was incomplete) and his hygienists behavior towards me, which was also very rude and oddly, invasively personal. It was not the first complaint I had about this person, and I had asked the office manager to switch my hygienist more than once. My sense is that they wanted a confrontation for some reason unknown to me. Ultimately, Doctor Poiman is responsible for his staffs professional bearing, and during the call to the doctor himself, exhibited a total lack of concern for this event in his office,showed no empathy, claiming he couldnt hear what was transpiring in the chair right next door. Strange, considering that I had discovered this dentist long ago and when I got married and had a son, I brought them here too. They will probably continue going, but as for me I will go elsewhere. I was charged nearly $500 in incidentals I dont believe I received, and now an infection and an emergency room visit. I have no idea what happened to this doctor, his hygienist and this practice overall but they are not the people I discovered nearly a decade ago. This matter isnt over by a long shot.

I've been coming to Dr.Poimon for the past few years now and him and his team are the best in NY! Pain-free and extremely friendly. They communicate properly and clearly. See you soon and thank you for everything, Dr.Poimon!
