Oakwood Residence Midtown East

I had the pleasure of staying at Oakwood Residence for nearly three months, and I was thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service provided by Axel and his team. Throughout my stay, they were always available to assist me with any needs I had. The front desk receptionists were also fantastic and very personable. I highly recommend this property for both short and long-term stays in New York.

The experience was superb. The size of the place was super comfortable for two people (specially considering NYC standards) . You know it's been good when you don't realize of any inconvenience, everything works as it should. All the people at the front desk was very nice and kind. Axel has been very helpful when needed. We've stayed for two months , location is great , very quiet but yet accessible . The street is quite loud in that corner, many drivers honk the horns all the time and gets quite noisy during the day.

The stay was overall convenient. What left a sour taste was roaches...not the tiny ones but the big ones! Found a dead cockroach under the sofa the first week of arrival. Today is checkout. Woke up to see another huge one in the living area. Probably the reason I wouldn't recommend or want to come back. I know it's nyc and having lived here historically I understand rodents and insects are challenging to fully exterminate. However as long as one doesn't see them repeatedly, it 'feels' more sanitary. Expectations would be the same from an Airbnb as it would be from a hotel. Nevertheless, corner apartment with lots of sun and a big size compared to others. Central AC needs more power, due to the corner apartment situation, apt gets really hot when the sun is out. If roaches don't bother u, this is a gem in the heart of midtown east.
