I just had a sewer back up at my property in Brooklyn. The whole basement is ruined all the contents all the flooring everything when I went to my policy I was only covered with $5000. Im a business owner and I rely on my brokerage company to go over my insurance and make sure Im fully covered. I had a $25,000 Content And wasnt informed until now after the loss the Contant is not covered if you have a sewer back up which I was never informed about I have this property for many years I I am an absentee owner and I was born and raised in the house so in the basement apartment I have all my parents who are now passed antique furniture so its more emotional than replaceable when I called the owner Joe Previtali he wouldnt let me speak. He told me I was yelling when I was basically emotional I asked him to please stop speaking over me so I could speak to him, and he hung the phone up on me real professional.
