Cute for cleaning.. get 2nd opinion for fillings or any other work. My 4 year old son loved the cleaning but we were told he needed fillings and root canals at some point (after multiple perfect cleanings) Every filling and root canal became infected and needed to be redone by another dentist. Also there was no option/use of laughing gas which was insane. Cleanings are fine .. go anywhere else for anything else. Mar 7th, 2023

Dr. Azrak and his staff are extremely ignorant! They are very open about not wanting Black or Brown patients and will charge them higher prices for subpar service in the hopes they will not return. Very disrespectful and disgusting! Oct 13th, 2022

We took my son to Dr Azrak when he was a toddler. He was fine for routine cleaning but please do not use his office for anything more serious than a cleaning. Dr Azrak told us our son needed multiple cavities filled in one visit, which came as a complete surprise since it was 'out of nowhere' compared to previous cleaning visits. Every filling became a root canal and every root canal became infected.. all done without laughing gas. Beyond awful. Truly one of biggest regrets as a parent was not getting second opinion earlier. We switched dentists and have had zero issues ever since. Try Happy Kidds in Brooklyn... or really any other good pediatric dentist. Mar 18th, 2020

I absolutely recommend the whole team ar Dr Azraks office. They are so nice and really take the time to talk to your kids. Also, they are always on time. My kids do not dread going to the dentist at all. Oct 25th, 2019

We went to Dr Azrak for my 3 yo daughters fillings, and the experience was initially fine but ultimately horrible. Azrak was convenient and recommended by our pediatric practice (I have since asked that they stop recommending him). Within three months, my kid's filling got infected. This might have been inevitable -- I understand it could be a freak incident and is unusual and possibly unavoidable. The unarguable issue was that as the infection grew, and her pain rose, Azrak went totally MIA for days -- it was the holiday season but he had zero backup for 3 days; totally unreachable and nobody to send patients to. I called him on a Thursday after she had on and off discomfort and he was receptive, said I could bring her in or keep an eye on it. I decided to keep an eye on it but by the next morning she was still in discomfort. I left a message on his "emergency" cell at 7:45 am on a Friday. Didn't hear back from him until 3 pm that day, by which time I'd had to find another dentist to see her (this is not easy in Brooklyn where the good docs have many-month waiting lists for new clients). The next day, when my toddler was still in pain, Azrak's "emergency" cell had a message telling anyone with an issue to go to ER. You don't just take a kid to the ER, if you can help it. I ended up back and forth at a new dentist and finally in the ER on a Sunday morning. Azrak called briefly as we were en route to the Er and then, out of embarrassment or disinterest, never once called to check in on how my child -- his patient -- had fared. She had a procedure to drain her abscess and spent two nights in the hospital and then needed to go directly to an oral surgeon for extractions. I had to figure all of this out on my own. If she'd been treated properly on a Friday, we may have avoided all of this: intravenous antibiotics, ER visit, hospital stay, two sedations, and tooth extraction (the teeth could have been saved). While in the emergency room, I got a call from Dr Zev Tendler, who was not even my dentist but who had received my email asking for help, and he coordinated care with the oral surgeon and offered guidance. We'll be going there from now on. Dr Azrak seems to have no arrangements for when he is not personally available. If everything goes ok for you, that's not going to be an issue. But if you end up having any problems, it's terrifying to be left with no communication. I also left feeling he just didn't care at all about a really young patient who was hospitalized with tooth issues. I recommend going elsewhere. Oct 25th, 2019
