Poor communications experience with doctor and hygienist. Had to ask them to stop being rude. Did not have a proper explanation of anything, had to ask everything on my own, and my asking was annoying the team. However root canal treatment was succesfull, dont know if i needed it in the first place though.

I loved this place for its close to my home location and family style. But, with time, I realized that I should've never had any prostodontic job done there: all symmetrical crowns are of different size, shape and color. Doctor is very nice trying to do all her best but she just cannot do this work properly. I am absolutely unsatisfied with the crowns made by HER and HER DENTAL LAB! What is even worse: she does not see her own mistakes, I needed to specify them to her. And here is the most recent case from my history: she completely spoiled one tooth with placing a heavy, faulty crown causing multiple complications (severe twisting and rocking of the tooth, very bad gum inflammation with unstoppable bleeding etc). She could not identify a cause of these symptoms and drilled a biiiiiig hole thru the crown (killing it completely) and the tooth itself searching in vain for the root canal. I repeatedly told her that the nerve was not involved but she would not listen to me. She even offered me to remove the tooth and put an implant instead (by her son-dentist). I felt extremely frustrated, sick and tired observing her helplessness in the course of the treatment and returned to my previous dentist, Dr. Jacob Podlipsky. He removed the faulty and spoiled crown and referred me to Dr. Portugeys, endodontist, and Dr. Segelnick, periodontist. Finally, my tooth returned to its absolutely normal appearance: all symptoms disappeared: the tooth stopped rocking and even got straightened up! Dr Podlipsky placed a new, light weighted crown. Now I am absolutely happy with all the work done following Dr Gelfand's care! Dr. Gelfand has not even apologized for all the time wasted by me, endless x-rays performed by her and other doctors correcting her own malpractice, pain and suffering I was exposed to. Moreover, she has not reimbursed the cash amount I requested after paying to Dr. Portugeys and Dr. Segelnick.
