This review is specifically about one of the psychiatrists at this location. If you have to schedule an appointment with Dr. Wackman, please don't do it and find another psychiatrist to go to. I had an appointment to be evaluated for adhd and autism, and during my appointment Dr. Wackman kept referring to cliche, stereotypical symptoms of both mental illnesses and told me 'Because you're not bouncing around the room, shaking your legs, speaking loudly or interrupting me, I can say you definitely do not exhibit any symptoms of adhd or autism.' No matter what I would tell her and how in depth I went, she kept telling me that she was certain I did not have either. She gaslighted me the entire appointment and said that if I was so inclined I could receive a referral to receive another evaluation somewhere else but it would cost me money. To make matters worse, after she told me that the online tests and research I did was clearly wrong, I watched as Dr. Wackman googled adhd and autism symptoms and clicked on articles, reading up on the symptoms and because what she read didn't align with how I was presenting, she kept telling me I was wrong. I understand that adhd and autism is a spectrum and can manifest in many different ways either severely or mildly. She then told me that I could only be diagnosed with either from the ages of 2-4, which is outrageous as both these mental illnesses are much harder to notice in girls and women, so they go undiagnosed for a long time. When I explained that it could have been because my parents were not knowledgable of either so they did not think to get me tested, she told me that couldn't be the case. Dr. Wackman is an older psychiatrist so I would like to say that this treatment is because she herself has outdated knowledge of what these mental illnesses entail. If you are serious about getting a diagnoses like I am to understand who you are and not drive yourself insane with not knowing, do not see her and please see someone else. If she treated me this way, I do not want anyone else to experience what I went through. I really wanted to get help and I left feeling defeated and enraged at the treatment I went through. For someone, a medical professional, to sit there and have to google search what adhd and autism symptoms are and to then tell me that I don't exhibit any of them because I'm 'well-mannered and maintaining eye contact' is very discouraging and baffling. Please, do not see Dr. Wackman if you need to be evaluated for any mental health related issue. If she does this to patients who believe they have adhd and/or autism, who knows how she treats patients with other mental illnesses or those like me trying to understand more about themselves. I will say that the other practitioners and providers I have seen at this location are amazing. They truly do what they can to help and make you feel comfortable. If I was only leaving a review on those staff members, this would have five stars for sure!

I was referred to Dr.Newson, thinking I was at the right place to get treated for my pregnancy care, turns out that she calls me to start questioning me what I was planning in doing with my pregnancy, and I told her what do you mean ? We spoke 3 weeks ago and I told her I was going to think about it in having my 3rd pregnancy since my last pregnancy they told me in the hospital I was at a high risk in having baby #3. She told me she was going to call me a day after , and she never did. After giving Dr.Newson an answer of taking the decision of having my baby , I told her is it possible I can go for sonogram since I was in the ER bleeding and the doctors told me everything was fine; she wouldnt let me explain she was just asking why I was in the ER that she never send me to the ER and I told her can you let me at least let me at least explain . She didnt even allow me to speak .I wanted to go for a sonogram to see if everything is going well. She told me thats now how things work and she started being rude and told me that I have to go see her first. Im very disappointed on how she started speaking to me threw the phone, Ive never been treated like this over the years, this is my first and last time being in this clinic; unfortunately I will be changing my kids to a different clinic as well.
