The Pool at the Plaza & Pickleball

The rooftop pickleball is a joke. Unless someone is actually working the pool desk, you can't get in unless your a guest, even if you make a reservation online. Neither security, hotel registration or guest service could let us in and kept passing the buck to one another. Then after finally giving up, we still had to pay $25 for PARKING!!! I'd give it negative stars if I could. Avoid it.

Do NOT work with Monique insales she will provide a written offer for your desired dates, event and rooms. After making lights, spending money on room, meals etc she canceled the offer within minutes of meeting with her. Discrimination-? . She spun the cancellation on the customer stating it was a holiday (Cinco de Mayo) and the Plaza had previously booked ALL the desired rooms prior to making the typewritten offer that was presented to the customer. No other offer was made and she stated she could not do anything about it. If you would like to see the offer in print and question please reach out and I can provide. DO NOT Spend your MONEY at the PLAZA. She will claim shes new and not her fault. THIS is unacceptable! We will NOT drop another dime here ever and will continue to spread the word!

This review is for the pickleball clinic. 1 star because they canceled the clinic with no communication despite confirming on the phone the week before. I signed up for a 6:30pm Friday evening clinic listed on the Plaza hotel website by emailing the reservation email several times and calling the hotel. Someone who runs the clinic called me back to confirm that the clinic was still happening and I just needed to show up, and to email the reservation email to let them know I'm coming (which I had already done). When I arrived for the clinic, they told me it was canceled due to shortages of staff.. It's extremely frustrating as I had moved my flight at an increased fee specifically because I had called and confirmed that I had a spot in the clinic. I understand that things happen, but they knew I was coming and had my email address. At least email me to give me a heads up so I don't waste my time. I'm very disappointed in the lack of organization. Never going to the Plaza hotel again for pickleball.
