Meenakshi Rajan

Dr. Rajan was very professional and personable all throughout our initial meeting, to my son's skin tag removal surgery and post-op. She is a fantastic Doctor & surgeon and very knowledgeable! The only thing I would note was that I wish the pre-op team provided more clear instructions for pre-op preparation for our boy who was 10mo old. For example, how long before he could eat/drink, etc. We were only given instructions for 1yo and older* Overall, it was a great experience working with Dr. Rajan. She took great care in my son's health, and the surgery and healing process has been very smooth! The entire team at UNLV Health was phenomenal too with great bedside manner despite the early call time for surgery!

After battling with referrals for ten days after my child broke their nose, we finally received one for Dr. Rajan. I called the office to set a consultation and the soonest they could see me was two weeks out. Understandable, I made the appointment. Upon arrival, we waited a short wait until being taken into a room. While in the room, the people in the receptionist area were blaring pop/rap with a ton of cursing. It wasnt the professional setting I was expecting. Dr. Rajan came in and was visibly disheveled with dirty clothing and shoes. She also casually used cursing in her dialogue while speaking to myself and children. Ive never encountered this with a doctor. She was almost immediately dismissive of my child and I. She fussed at me for having waited too long to have my child seen for their broken nose. I tried to explain to the doctor about the referrals and the soonest available appointment but she simply spoke over me. She admonished me for having not sought a CT scan at the ER at the time of the break and having only an X-ray. There was no way for me to have known to ask for that. She was condescending and unwilling to be helpful. She basically told me that Im out of luck. I will not be returning. I called our pediatricians office and let them know that we will not move forward with this office and they have provided me with a new referral. I contacted my insurance to let them know about the experience as well. 0/10 for the doctor. The best interaction I had at the office was with the surgeons assistant.
