88 Noodle Papa

Local here. Ive been coming to this place and Big Wong for affordable wonton noodles. since Big Wong close down, it seems like this is the only place left that has decent wonton noodle. They not only raise the price (ok inflation I got it), but they add a Support Local fee on the screen which transfer to credit card fee on the receipt. 2 basic bowls of noodle turn to almost $40 with tips. Thats ridiculous, thats CA pricing! Foods served without any condiments to twist the taste as the common Chinese restaurant. If you can cook, you will probably find disappointment here.

Very solid Chinese comfort food. Everything was authentic. Wonton noodles and fish congee with Chinese doughnut really hit the spot. Curry roti has a bit of kick. The HK lemon tea was superb. All this food while enjoying some classic Jacky Cheung in the background. I had a great meal and experience. No pics, we ate everything without any thought of pics. Its the kind of food that, iykyk.

The pork in congee is not fresh but seasoned extremely salty. They also auto charge 15% tip but service is poor. If you pay with credit card there's also 2.5% convenience fee just be aware.
