The Volcano

If you are headed to Vegas soon make sure to see this before the new construction at the Mirage happens as it will no longer be there. The show takes place every hour after 7pm and is only 10 minutes long but it is a fun thing to see for the whole family. If you are staying at the hotel you can just walk right outside the front doors to be in on all the action. Yes it is real fire and yes it is very hot when you are up close but a cool experience to check out. The flames go super high up and there is music that pairs with it. And the show is free so why not stop by!

Great 10 minute show at the Mirage. Get there early to be as close as possible. Careful as you can feel the heat but not dangerous.

Located outside the Las Vegas Boulevard main entrance next to the Mirage hotel, happens every hour from 7-11pm.What an exhilarating show and it's free! You have no excuse not to stop by and watch this show. It was FIRE (pun intended)!

Fun & unique experience! If you're on the strip at around 7pm, definitely check it out. Get there a few min early (~10-15 min early) to get a good spot to watch

I love taking advantage of the free attractions on the strip everytime I visit. This was my first time checking out The Volcano show at the Mirage. I was really impressed. Just like the Bellagio Fountains, you line up along the strip to watch this event (come earlier for a better view), and it happens numerous times throughout the evening, on the hour from 7-11pm. You know it's about to start because you hear the sounds of frogs chirping... then action. We absolutely loved the fireballs and explosions erupting from the volcano and the flames dancing on the water. And there's a great soundtrack by the Grateful Dead to go along with the 10 minute fire and light show, sounds of the percussion perfectly timed with the performance. Great free attraction, almost on par with the Bellagio Fountains IMO. Also a free heater on the strip for those cold winter nights!
