Caramá by Wolfgang Puck

I rated this a 2 but should be a 4, but did this to explain how disappointing and uninspired the food was. My international party of 9 guests orderd a variety of things, all of us were just unimpressed. I ordered the "Snake River Farms Rub Eye" for $75. They explained the meat would be smoked and grilled. It had no trace of smoke, the meat was not "Snake river farms" but some cheap cut of meat. The wine menu was completely bland with most items scoring like 3.7 on Vivino and getting unfavorable comments on the Wine subreddit. There were a few gems on that list and I spoke with the Som who was very knowledgable and a treasure. But the food can be better cooked at home. I would tried the other restaurants in the Mandalay this past week and all superseded this one.

Lupo closed permanently a couple of months ago. The new restaurant in this spot is Carama, also by Wolfgang Puck. Menu has changed and is more expensive!

Five stars all around. Elegant fine dining experience. Service staff is top quality. I recommend this place for a romantic dinner with your loved one. Update 10/23: Lupo is now permanently closed and is moving to Downtown Summerlin. Address will be 10955 Oval Park Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89135.

Had the Chilean Sea Bass with Mussels and Calamari. Beyond superb!
