This place is a hidden treasure. I was in a mood for Korean food and got the kimchi pork belly stew. Glad I made the decision! It was so good! The service was super friendly and attentive.

Overall: 4.3/5 (Postmates delivery) The estimated time was 45-60 minutes but Soyo was able to get it to us in 37 minutes. They were able to package everything nicely in one large brown paper bag. Their utensils are neatly organized in a plastic cover wrap unlike the other location (S. Rainbow Blvd). Okay back story. We tried the S. Rainbow location a few days before but they didn't have the braised beef short ribs & mean jeon pancakes on Ubereats/Postmates and I was craving so I got to try them a few days apart. Braised Beef Short Ribs ($27): This is a fraction of the price compared to LA or Bay Area which is $60-70 for a small now. At first I didn't think it tasted the same but I realized it's the first time we got galbi jjim without mozzarella cheese. The short rib was good but was hard to get off the bone. It wasn't as tender as California's galbi jjim but it was still tender enough. What I really like was the stew. It's so delicious that I can drink it like a soup but it's also amazing with the white rice it comes with. In California, they give you less stew but more content. The vegetables in the stew were braised properly because just melted in your mouth. The flavors were good even though they were a bit less umami than California's galbi jjim. This place also added egg strips on top which gave it a nice texture contrast. Next time I want to try the spicy version or this version again with cheese to see if they're comparable. Meat Jeon Pancake ($17): These looked really good on the picture but the meat was way too overcooked. The portion size was a little smaller than expected too. For the price, I rather get meat jun which tastes way better. It does come with two dipping sauces: one is a spicy one with Banchans: They give you 4 banchans in a nice single tray: potatoes, kimchi, zucchinis, and bean sprouts. This location's banchans are better than the S. Rainbow Blvd location.
