I went in to have a wisdom tooth pulled and was told I had a cavity on the side of the back of my tooth by a former dentist Bryan Huong that he could put a filling on the side and the cavity would be removed he also said I had bad pre gum disease that needed immediate laser treatment for a extra money. I agreed to remove the cavity because I was going to pull it anyway if it ever was painful, so I agreed to have the filling put on my cavity that didnt even hurt, and I regret it tremendously. The dentist here hacked my tooth right next to the one with a cavity that never needed to be filled with a filling and to top it all off the filling on my cavity tooth didnt last three months and It caused me a horrible lingering infection, I went to my allergist my doctors offices & spent WASTED hours all because this dental office hacked my tooth. After countless rounds of antibiotics with no infection reduction for months I returned to the dentist to find out There was a new dentist Timothy LUONG I told him what happens with the first dentist and I had horrible food pocket between the hacked tooth that bled after the 1st dentist hacked the tooth and was painful to eat because he hit the nerve that I cant floss because it was so painful. I lost 15 lbs over this time frame because eating was painful. After I expressed to the new Dentist Timothy Luong that the old dentist hacked my tooth and hit a nerve and I had a deep painful food pocket & he told me by the x-rays there was no infection and didn't see any thing on the xrays he just wanted to fix the filling with a root canal for more money and didn't even care about he painful bloody food pocket, and he was worried the tooth below the extracted tooth would rise even though there is a tooth directly underneath it? After I declined he tried selling me on removing the tooth that they messed up for more money and I needed extensive bone grafting and laughing gas for a total of $500+ for a tooth THEY MESSED UP. Timothy Luong didnt even address my painful food pocket? I declined because I knew the tooth could be pulled by a specialist Todd Sumner the oral surgeon. The dentist here ruined a perfectly good tooth with a filling and hit a nerve that caused a painful infection and tried to charge me more money for their mistake. I was in tremendous pain at times for three months, drinking cold or hot liquid with a very deep food pocket. After I had the tooth extracted that they messed up, I found out the infection instantly disappeared and the filling was lost and the inside of the tooth was infected and my gums were VERY healthy even after the dentist said I needed special laser surgery and there was congestion a]that could be mild infection in the xray the Dr Timothy Loung said nothing was there. These dentists pretty much lied to my face all this because they hard sold me on giving a cavity that didnt even cause pain. Please don't be hard sold here, enter at your own risk but do your research and get a 2nd opinion like I did. The only reason I had my tooth extracted here was because Todd Sumner is an excellent Oral surgeon and a straight shooter. All the dentists at this facility are salesmen with sales tactics full of unneeded recommendations. These guys are salesmen over dental professionals except for Todd Sumner hes a Frank Sinatra class act. Thank you Todd for being the equalizer and fixing my tooth but most importantly being HONEST with me. I'm not a Kardashian by any means and don't write these kind of reviews but this was the most horrible medical experience I've had my entire life and I have had appendix bust. I want to warn others not to be hard sold here. Dr Luong did not right a wrong they did with hacked nerve and tried to hard sell me and didn't even care I had painful bleeding food pocket. Go elsewhere please this experience WILL be reported to the Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners to make sure others don't go through this horror. First appointment was on the 25 of Jan and the staff was so pleasant on point , they let me choose what I had done, they answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable, and the extraction was wonderful and fast

Dr. Timothy Luong (and crew) - Las Vegas Modern Smiles Dentistry I'll put it very simply for everyone. Root canal and crown. The speed at which Dr. Luong worked at was very impressive. I expected to be there for about 5 hours, and not counting the time it took to make the crown, in-house mind you - I counted slightly more than 2. The professionalism, courtesy, communication, and the effort to ensure comfortably was equally impressive. The best part without a second thought - no pain. NONE. Not even a tickle. That's reason enough by itself to go here. They are also willing to work with you and your insurance to get you going and payments best suited for you, not them. I have been seeing this dentist for over a year and they continue to impress. Highly recommend for those in the Las Vegas Valley, worth the trek from Henderson and Pahrump. Crowns while you wait. Entertaining hygienists. Work speed. Communication. Comfortable. Schedule your appointment.
