I wanted to get on here to do my review tonight. My son and I have been banking with this bank since 2014 I really liked the bank before many years back but now that I see the changes they have made the people they have hired very rude nasty especially when you call the customer service. Today really upset me the most when I went in with my son to get a cashiers check to pay my rent. I was questioned Why was I late on my credit line and loan and I said I am working on it. I am getting my paycheck and I will be paying that. I just need to get a cashiers check to pay my rent ASAP and the lady got on the phone and called the main headquarters wherever that is and they got on the phone and spoke to my son so Ive been paying all my penalties to this bank even if I overdrew, I always find a way to get the money to pay them as soon as I can. I told her sometimes I have to wait for my paycheck so I can come and pay what I owe. I did not like this lady at the teller her name was.Noelle. I did also pay what I needed to pay for our checking account to be back to good standing. Everything is all back to normal, but no, they wanted to give us a hard time and then she said that we have to pay now for a cashiers check in which I thought since we bank with them that if you have an account already that you do not have to pay, but apparently their terms and conditions have changed in which they have never sent anything to my son about it. What makes me really upset is not just today but what I am very upset about is what they did to us when we lost our car in an accident by the time the insurance paid them and gap paid them. They held us responsible for two car payments, a car that was totaled in an accident. I had to fight over the phone with the representatives who were dealing with the loans at the time and all the payouts from the gap insurance. I explained to them that we were going through a hardship and they said oh well theres nothing we can do and youre responsible for your two car payments and I said well the cars been gone for 3 months now and now youre hitting us with these charges so I just want to let people know that this bank has lost us as customers we have open account at another bank. As soon as we pay what we still owe for them, we will be done, and our accounts will be completely closed. I will never ever do business with America first credit union they used to be a good bank who cared about people but now I feel like theyre greedy for money And I will also let the Better Business Bureau know about hidden charges in which they tell you later on about especially what they did to us with the car loan Im never gonna forget that But today with the treatment of that teller Noelle Has made dislike the bank even more. I cant wait for the day to be done and over with with what we owe still and never ever know anything about them. I will not refer any friends or family to them either they keep this up eventually they will be going out of business because how they treat their customers now is so uncalled for, and they dont care whether youre struggling or not they will not help you. They will harass you until you pay every single dime. And Im not just saying that just so they can feel pity but just to understand the situations of how things are now its very difficult for some people and they should realize that if they keep this up, they will be losing lots of customers. So if I were you do your research And find a better credit union in town because its definitely not this one. Mar 22nd, 2025
