Came up to Centennial Hills today for an appointment and decided to stop in this store to stock up on some hair products that my stylist recommended. I had a huge bag of hair products, skin care and some makeup and went to check out in the front. Karyn G. gave me the dirtiest stare when I walked up and she was making backhanded comments to me the whole time I was checking out, for no reason. She told me she is one of the "lead" team members. I hope the regional managers read about this experience, because she definitely does not deserve to grow in this company. If your goal is to keep your brick and mortal stores open and thriving, she isn't going to help you achieve that goal. I got FED UP with her after she was giving me an attitude for wanting to redeem my September birthday gift. I was spending almost $300 in the store. Instead of saying Happy Birthday! I will grab your birthday gift! She was making comments to me about how she thought I had already redeemed it. Treating me like a criminal trying to cheat the system or something? I had not been shopping in Ulta in two months and I am a platinum member. She definitely needs an attitude check and some additional training in customer service. I did nothing to deserve that kind of treatment today. She should leave her miserable attitude at home before coming to work and not take it out on customers. Especially in this economy, the people who are still going out to spend money probably work really hard to have disposable income to spend on frivolous things. When we go out to spend some of our hard earned cash and want to redeem our travel-sized "Birthday Item" on the App, don't give us a difficult time about it. The whole experience was ridiculous and uncalled for.
