I signed a 15 month lease and hated every second I was here. I preferred to spend time at work than at my apartment. Payment problems occur often, whether enrolled in autopay or not. The "automated" receipts often tend to not show up until after they deem you are already late and then they magically appear for late payments. I have lived here for 6 months thus far, and 3 months of my stay, my payment has suspiciously been denied. I get confirmations from my bank that I attempt a transaction, but they do not go through. On my most recent payment period, I even had maintenance show up at my apartment without prior notification. I was "supposed" to get an email, but I see that email systems also don't work here. The office is closed more than it is open. If you work normal hours, don't expect to ever be able to talk to a human. "Call the office during the open hours!!" I have, they have bots that answer that will "leave a message" that seems to always get lost. This was a common issue while applying for the apartment. I was hoping it was because I wasn't an enrolled resident, but this issue still remains. I STILL have a faulty light fixture in my bathroom, even though I mentioned this in April of 2023. Other misc. complaints: The mag locks for the gates often are broken Ceiling/floor insulation is terrible The stairways are never cleaned, there is still dog pee on the northeast staircase from July My Juliet balcony door leaks (given how cheap this place is, I expect to pay for this when I leave) and the paint is peeling The carpet is disgustingly low quality. I sold carpet for several years, and this stuff is CHEAP I'm looking forward to not renewing my lease Update for this winter: they didn't turn the heater on for the raised ceiling in the parking garage, meaning my second floor apartment pipes froze, even after heeding the precautions they asked of us. I genuinely don't understand the sheer lack of care for the tenants in this complex. Update 2 for this winter: they are charging $50 for lockouts for a key system that is unreliable and uncooperative because they hired the wrong locksmith. The absolute lack of common sense of this place is ridiculous. The temperature is hitting negatives at night, and they think that the battery powered keyfobs we have are reliable enough to keep us safe from the cold. I've replaced mine once, and I hadn't even been here for 2 months. Now, my key ONLY OPENS THE FRONT DOOR. I cannot enter through any gate or entrance. I can only imagine how terrifying it would be for someone being followed at night. Update 3 for the winter: they don't collect trash every night, and the trash chute does not work or is out of order 90% of the time. Both of these are considered amenities, but are rarely available. Update 4, on April Fools Day. You now have to pay a service charge to pay your rent, and this is not an April Fools joke.

I recently moved in and have not reached a full month of occupancy. Already, I do not feel the price of what I pay is worth the amenities that are provided. I have encountered minor issues that I was able to look over, such as my name not being added to the call box after being repeatedly told it would be; My trash being skipped during pick up, even though all my neighbors trash cans were emptied, and heating issues. With all that being said Taylor in the office has been great to work with and has made sure to get all of these things taken care of in a timely fashion. I appreciate all she has done to make this transition smooth for my family & I. I believe this could be a great place to live and I see a lot of potential in making this my temporary home. Taylor's customer service skills are unmatched.

I have been living at the Congress for about 10 months now and have nothing but good things to say. I relocated to the area for work and needed easy access to the high way, close to Downtown but away from the noise, and easy access to amenities like the parks and trails. This place does it all. Its kept clean, the hallways, lobby and elevator get cleaned weekly. Once your in your apartment you cant hear noise from the hallway or your neighbors. They have a courtesy officer who is amazing and very nice. The staff is great with communication. It is also a 10 min walk to fountain square and Mass Ave. After renting in multiple states over the years I am very impressed with the Congress.
