Idlewood Apartments

The environment is clean, peaceful and safe. Furthermore the office staff is always helpful and very cordial. Thus far I have enjoyed my stay here.

Not worth the rent lived here for 5 years finally moved out. Rent keeps going up but apartment is old & outdated. When we first moved in cobwebs were clinging to the sealing. They never changed the filter it was so dusty.

This place sucks. It's overpriced and the price keeps going up while the property falls apart and is covered in trash. Neighbors are inconsiderate and obnoxious.Office workers are incapable of doing anything. They almost have a nervous breakdown just looking for resident's mail that is delivered to the front office. They're incapable of getting anything done in a timely manner, if at all. The "monthly" newsletter goes out 1-3 times a year, if someone feels like working. They like to do things like send out memos saying the parking lot will be repainted next week when it's actually happening the next day. Absolutely pathetic.Maintenance generally doesn't show up, shows up a month later, and/or doesn't know how to fix anything. Incapable of fixing a door, put a faucet on backwards.Might be a great place to live if you love being woken up by neighbors yelling at 5:00 AM or smelling cigarette smoke everyday.History of shootings and car break ins. Girlfriend had her car broken into and things stolen earlier this year.Despite still advertising and lying about having a 24 hour exercise facility, the work out room hasn't been 24 hour access for years because it was vandalized and management can't be bothered to do anything but take away amenities we are already paying for. Exercise room is small and barely has any equipment. Staff is incapable of refilling water jug, cups, or wipe down tissues.

Updated October 28, 2024:After first requesting Idlewood try to fix a sliding patio door that made obnoxious grating metal scraping sounds hundreds times a day a few few away from my bed as well as my work desk, Idlewood took over seven months to fix a problem I repeatedly asked them to fix.I first reported the terrible door noise on March 19, 2024, via the apartment's maintenance request portal. After no improvement in the noise still occurring hundreds of times a day, I contacted Idlewood multiple times via the maintenance portal, office email, telephone, and visited the front office in person for over seven months before the door was fixed. There was almost never any follow up response.I explained the noise was very loud and irritating and being subjected to it hundreds of times a day for months was very bad for my mental and physical health. Idlewood claims maintenance attempted fixing the door with oil and hammering out the track in the months before fixing the door, though there was never any relief from the constant metal screeching. No notification of attempting to fix the door was ever given until about six months after requesting maintenance.
