This company did an appraisal of my condo unit and they were on time for the appointment, seemed very knowledgeable about there job and very fast on getting me the final report, I would recommend them to anyone looking for an appraisal needed on their property.

I grew up in Chicago, but have been living out of state since 1977. Since 1985, I've owned a multi-apartment rental property in Chicago's up-and-coming Logan Square neighborhood. Ten years ago, needing an appraisal, I answered an ad and went with Mike Kozenko, owner of Tyke Appraisals. I was a newbie at the real estate game, but Mike walked me through the details, and even invited me on a tour of his own building, often explaining how what I was seeing there would translate in an appraisal. Mike struck me as a "real Chicagoan" in his speech, experience, and down-to-earth perspective. I was happy with the price and results from Mike/Tyke Appraisals, but had no further contact with him until recently, when I found myself in a jam. A legal firm doing some work for me relating to the same property sent their own appraiser around. As part of his appraisal, he asked if I had access to any earlier appraisals on the property -- if so, he'd like a copy ASAP. I did have such a document -- from Mike, but my wife and I were visiting Chicago, and that Appraisal was back at our empty home, hundreds of miles away. So I looked up Mike's number, and called to ask for his help. When I got him, I asked if he could find this 10-year-old document and get it to me, fast. He said, "hang on", and two minutes later had found an electronic copy in his files, and said he'd e-mail me a copy -- at no charge. Still helpful and professional after all these years -- how refreshing.
