I recently had an appraisal done with John at ACE Appraisals, LLC, and am very satisfied with the service received! Very professional, responsive and knowledgeable from start to finish. John was able to complete my appraisal on a tight timeline within a week, significantly faster than other companies I contacted. The appraisal was very thorough, detailed, and John fully explained his process, findings and answered any questions I had. I purchased a foreclosure. Ace appraisals provided the initial appraisal and valued the house at the agreed price we were buying it ($245,000). Upon purchasing the house and renovating it (with costs just over $50,000) Ace appraisals came back out to value the house after all the upgrades and renovations had been made. When i received the appraisal update/ completion report it had all the updates added but the value of the house was not on it. The only thing it had on the completion report was the contract price and the original appraised value. There was no new value. I have called and e-mailed ace appraisals on many, many, many occasions (over fifteen times). I am yet to receive any type of response from them. I almost feel like this was a scam. I paid my money to get a valuation on my house and i still don't have it to this day. I am looking to refinance right now and I have no idea what the value of my house is. I think that this is a disgraceful way for a business to operate. Their customer service is a disgrace. No one ever answers the phone, no one ever calls back, no one responds to e-mails. Don't use them, use someone else.
