        Assumption Greek Orthodox Church on Chicago's west side, a gorgeous Byzantine in character Church. Completed and opened in 1938, the architect was Peter E. Camburas. I love the warmth and design of the interior following the Latin cross plan. The interior was first decorated with authentic Byzantine iconography in 1945. While the stained glass windows were created by the F.X. Zettler Studio in 1960. I loved photographing the inside of this house of worship. Beautiful perspectives from every angle. Another Chicago treasure!
