I am currently dealing with a situation in cook county where I am dealing with an individual that I been renting from for almost 3 years. I've asked this person the bare mare minimuim when it comes to making any repairs on my house because I like to do the work to learn the work myself. My freezer went out on a 14 year old refrigerator so I finally reached out to this landlord and asked him to replace it. I've always paid my rent on time and I have been a loyal tenant. His response was "its not my obligation to replace something in my home that you have been using over the past few years!" I was baffled! After a day of back to back text messages I finally decided to reach out to this group for advice. I was able to connect with Ms. Katrina Herrings and she informed me all about my tenant rights I did not know I had. We composed letters that Includes the cook country tenants rights and law and we were able to send them out. We are fresh in the process but i'm confident we'll receive prompt results! Thank you so much again Ms. katrina! You are apprecited!

Since 1997, I have encountered many MTO reps.zip codes (60617,(60649), and (60637) Katrina H was clear, precise, and detailed in her delivery to me about security deposit return info. I followed her advice and instruction. "WHA-LAH", I have my security deposit return. We need MTO reps. like her. She is one of the best---if not the best rep. I have come across. I was referred to this organization. It took a few days for a call back but I couldnt be happier. They have informed me about so much that I did not know in just 10 minutes. Its great that there is an organization to help with tenant concerns. I will always recommend them to anyone who needs advice.

I have worked with MTO many times over the years and most recently with a hot water issue in my building. I always get amazing help from knowledgeable people and I ALWAYS get results. Katrina is extremely knowledgeable of the law and helped me get the problem fixed and a substantial rent reduction for having to wait on my landlord to fix the problem. This was better help and advice than what I received from lawyers on the same issue. All the one star reviews are from disgruntled landlords who were taking advantage of their tenants and didn't know an organization like MTO was around to educate tenants of their rights under the law. Always call whenever you have a problem with your landlord or want to know your rights as a tenant in Chicago. HOLD YOUR LANLORD ACCOUNTABLE!
