I do a lot of in office training with lunch provided and I will NEVER be using JJ again after what I had to deal with. I put the order in the day before for 11:45am thinking that would be plenty of time for my 12-12:30 training and the sandwiches did not arrive until 1:30 when many people already decided to go grab their own lunch because they were hungry. When I called at 12 I was told 20 minutes so I said that's fine they can grab the sandwiches after the training. I had to call 4 more times - once they just put the phone down and no one came back after 5 minutes and another time I was hung up on. Finally I said cancel my entire order of 40 box lunches (over $500) and suddenly it was on the way. I was shocked at how unprofessional the entire situation was handled and I would expect an on time delivery when the order is placed that far in advance. I have reached out multiple times and I am still waiting to hear back from the correct person after 17 days since Customer Service can't share that info. Jun 29th, 2023

Prefacing this by saying I have never written a bad review on any restaurant in my entire life. However, I would absolutely take your money elsewhere, and not spend it at this store. I ordered a rather large JJ catering order (3 30 boxes, chips, drinks, pickles etc). on the Monday prior to my event (Wednesday). Order was confirmed by the store which is a block away from our event. Order was set to be delivered at 11:30. Around 11:40 I had not heard from the store, so called to make sure things were on track. I was hung up on multiple times, and when I finally got someone on the line they said "It was being made". They had clearly forgotten the order, and I knew there wasn't anything I could do, so I said ok, no problem we had the time to spare. 12:00 rolls around, no word back, so I call again. "It's out for delivery, and they would call the driver to ensure it was being prioritized" 12:15 rolls around, no word or delivery, so I call back and am hung up on. Call back again, and told a male employee that another employee had told me it was out for delivery, to which he responded "yeah, they probably lied to you, it's not out for delivery, it's still being made, we had an issue with bread being made. I asked to be transferred to a manager who gave no real explanation for being lied to, and said it would be another 20 minutes. At this point, I had received no apology, no offer to make it right somehow via refund. 12:40 rolls around, and nothing had been delivered still. I call again "It's still being made, they forgot one of the 3 30 piece boxes", it will be another 15-20 minutes. I feel like up until this point I had been polite and understanding, but honestly just couldn't take it anymore and told them this was so unacceptable, as the food was supposed to be delivered at 11:30, and it was now almost 1. I had a large group of hungry people that needed to be in meetings shortly, and I needed to get them fed. Another 15 minutes rolls by, with zero delivery, so I called again letting them know if it wasn't delivered in the next 5 or so minutes I literally would be unable to accept the order since I would be in meetings. The manager said it just left for delivery and it would be there shortly, and finally received an apology. I understand there are staffing issues across the industry, but at no point prior I receive any sort of apology, or did anyone show any real concern for the order. I was hung up on at least 5 times, and told I was lied to by an employee. The order finally arrived at 12:58, 2 minutes before our meeting started. There were missing drinks (waters), which I didn't even comment on. The employee who delivered the food let me know that the manager was out on vacation and there was no management in the restaurant. So whichever "manager" I spoke to was not in fact a manager. This delayed our meeting so people could eat, and was truly stressful. I have been a long time JJ customer for catering, and will no longer be using them moving forward. -1000000/10 would not recommend. Jun 20th, 2023
