Excellent food and service. Lovely atmosphere. Ordered the bruschetta, tagliatelle bolognese, and lamb special of the day. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend!

I live down the street and really enjoy the food. Even the spinach is good. Salmon? Amazing. Ravioli are delish. Family friendly. Nice and quiet and homey atmosphere. Excellent.

Neighbourhood restaurant vibe on Halsted ! Home made Pasta and great desserts. Definitely a visit . Went there multiple times . The quality of the food is spot on as is the service! The owner is frequently around and is extremely responsive !

Trattoria Gianni has become a go-to special occasion dinner spot for me. The atmosphere is so welcoming, and I love when a restaurant is family opened and operated. Every time I have dined in, the service is amazing. Everything that I have ordered has been delicious. My favorite item is the Gnocchi della Nonna. The ricotta stuffed gnocchi are decadent which is paired well by the acidity of the tomato sauce. Other dishes that we enjoyed included the Rigatoni alla Nocerina, and the Petto d'Anatra alla Julia. The Duck was tender and the balsamic reduction added so much flavor to each bite. As for starters, we enjoyed the Bruschetta, Calamari Fritti, Polpo alla Genovese, and the carpaccio. If I had to chose one, I would go with the grilled octopus, it was fantastic!
