Amazing, fresh food. Open and welcoming spot. Order at table worked fantastically and food was out quick. Fish tacos and steak quesidila were the highlights of our order but everything was perfect. If you're near this place then you should stop in. More

I was excited to come here knowing it had recently opened, however, my first impression of this place was not what I expected. A young man with glasses rushed me to place my order rather than welcoming me. The quesadilla I had was certainly not a quesadilla with melted cheese it was more like a burrito. Im not sure if I will come back again .

I was very excited to come and try Tacombi. Ill preface by saying that as a Mexican-American, Im always on the hunt to find tacos that are as authentic as they are across the border and as I remember when Ive eaten my familys cooking. Im sure as many people do with their own culture and delicious foods.
I arrived, and was rudely greeted by a man who took my order at the front. I overlooked this, because the rest of the staff was so incredibly kind. Very kind and helpful.
I ordered a carne asada quesadilla. The meat itself was kinda flavorless. It tasted like a decent sirloin put into a quesadilla. The poblano and onion were a great bonus add for flavor. I wouldnt necessarily call this a quesadillait sadly barley had cheese. Id say my favorite part of the quesadilla was the flour tortilla. Semi greasy and flakey and delicious.
The watermelon agua fresca was refreshing. I ordered a side of guacamole and totopos. The guacamole was flavorless. Im not sure if they made it fresh that day, but it was browning, which indicates they didnt use lemon juice. Ive had the brand of totopos they sell before, and theyre delicious. However, the bag I received was stale.
Overall, Id say their food is more Baja California inspired tex mex.
