We didn’t know that you had to request housekeeping services, and when we did request housekeeping, we were told that they were already scheduled to clean other rooms, not ours. The toilet was too low to the ground for a very tall senior citizen person who needed a grab bar for safety. Also, I was just rudely hung up on today when calling about my final bill. We definitely will not be staying at Holiday Inn Express Chicago Midway again.

Worst customer service ever! Before I even booked the room I explained to “Eliza” that I was booking the room for my elderly parents because their home had flooded and they needed a room for the night. She stated to me that was fine she just needed their names. I gave her their names and she listed them as the guests. I made it very clear that I wouldn’t be joining them because I live in a different town. She told me it was absolutely fine. Well, the first reservation was cancelled because “Eliza” entered the wrong dates. The second reservation went through but when I got my email confirmation the details were completely different than what we had discussed over the phone. I had to call back and spend a total of 34 mins on the phone speaking with “Eliza” AGAIN going back and forward with her to get everything straightened out. Fast forward to my parents showing up to the hotel. My mother called me and I heard “Jill” at the front desk badgering my mom for her credit card. Telling her “Brittany has to be here with her card in order for you to check in and we’re almost sold out of rooms tonight, so you need to provide me with your card now in order to keep this reservation.” My mom tried to explain everything to her and she continued to over talk my mom in a condescending tone. She’s a rude, arrogant LOUD-mouth and customers shouldn’t be treated this way especially when the hotel was at fault in making the error! Needless to say, they charged my card $458.00 for a 2 night stay AND my mother’s card $408.00 for the EXACT same room! Smh!
