One of the administrators was very rude to me for no reason. I normally would think someone is just having a bad day and let it slide but this lady was discriminating against me to the point it hit me personally. I arrived at the testing center for NCLEX-RN and she calls me in for the check-in process. When I handed her my ID, which was an international passport that is valid, she gave me this dirty glance and asked if I have another form of ID. Pearson Vue clearly stated that a passport is the only form of ID that is allowed internationally - I felt very discriminated against her. Then I showed her my social security card and she accepted my form of ID. I didnt understand her instructions at first - I was nervous at this point and my anxiety kicked in because I did not know if I was going to get sent home for bringing a valid international ID. She had this rude, commanding tone with me the entire time. But she changed her tone in a friendly and polite manner with a smile as soon as other people walked up for assistance. I felt very discriminated against by this staff - she was a short, young African lady with bob hair. If it was a normal instance I would not tolerate this kind of incivility - I would say it to their face and let them know what they were doing is uncivil and how that made me feel. However, I did not know how much power this staff (aka administrator) potentially holds to negatively affect my test result - so I chose to keep my mouth shut and let her continue to talk to me with no respect. ***Many huge corporations & institutions especially in academic & healthcare fields have zero tolerance for this kind of incivility/discrimination, and they would terminate such uncivil staff. Although the overall environment of Pearson professional center was very clean and neat, this act of incivility and discrimination from the staff should NOT be tolerated to maintain the professional image of Pearson Vue.
