Nice people but slow service. Drive thru window is on same side as ATM so you have to wait in line in your car to use the machine. Also the window is level with SUVs. If you drive a sedan you cant quite reach the drawer. Need a different architect me thinks.

I understand that sometimes mistakes happen, and resulting inconveniences are just a part of life, but it's how you resolve those issues that matter. I went in there with printouts from Chase, showing online payments I made towards my credit card, which were never applied towards the balance. Chase attempted to make the payments electronically, as is normal for financial institutions, but the credit union could not receive the electronic payments. That sounds like a credit union problem, but whatever, so Chase sent checks. The credit union never processed them, charged me late fees, and dinged my credit report. So either both checks got lost in the mail or lost internally at the credit union, but in any case, I could clearly show that I made the payments on time on my bank statements. Now, you'd think it could be resolved by showing the transactions, waiting a couple of fees, and notifying the credit bureaus that there was a banking error that caused inaccuracies in the credit reporting, and you'd be right. Instead, the banker told me that they hadn't reported it to the credit bureaus, despite me pointing to it on my credit karma app, which she said wasn't accurate. As far as the late fees, she said they'd waive one as a courtesy, but not the other, denying the possibility that they could have been the cause of the error, telling me that if it was their fault they'd waive the fee, but also that they would have charged a fee for stopping the payments and that I should be glad Chase wasn't charging me for canceling the checks. I asked why the credit union should profit from an error that they could have caused despite her agreeing that I had done everything I was supposed to in order to not be penalized by fees or harmful credit reporting, but she couldn't answer the question, instead continuing to deny even the possibility that it was their fault. Again, it costs them nothing to waive a late fee or to amend an entry on a credit report, but she and the manager refused, instead referring me to their credit counselor and again denying what was clearly on my credit report. Sure, sometimes entries don't always get shown on a report, but transunion and credit karma didn't just magically come up with an extra $1154.00 of credit card balance that shouldn't be there, or late payments. If you're not going to own up to your own mistakes or technical problems, you should at least not make money off of them, but don't try to gaslight me by denying the existence of entries I'm pointing to on my credit report. It's totally unprofessional and unethical.

I've been visiting the branch located at 103rd and Pulaski in Chicago frequently for a while. Although I'm a non member there, I have an account at an affiliate branch. I usually conduct business as a walk in when I'm not driving. A couple of days ago, an employee intercepted me at the door stating, I could no longer come in as a "guest". She gave two options, to utilize the lobby ATM or to "walk" up to the drive-thru. She displayed no compassion and didn't care that walking up to a drive thru window is a security threat. This type of treatment is unprofessional and inhumane. Overall there are a few employees who are tellers that are not the most pleasant. The public should be aware these people treat you different because you're not a "true" member. When I left the branch and used the ATM to make my cash deposit she never informed me my money would be placed on a two day hold. That almost caused me another problem after placing my money in their ATM when I was conducting business shortly after the deposit was made. I refused to walk up to a drive thru window and risk my safety. Beware of this branch. They treat non members like animals.
