I was desperately seeking relief from many "Long Haul" COVID-19 symptoms (aka Post COVID Syndrome) Although my primary physician tried to help ease the symptoms, nothing worked. From burning skin sensations to ringing in the ears, to "COVID fingers", tachycardia and shortness of breath - I was a hot mess. By the time I thought of going back to Dana at Midwest Acupuncture Group, I was a shadow of the vibrant person I was pre-March 2020. After ONE visit, I was shocked at how improved my symptoms were - after three visits, yes, three visits, I am feeling like my old self again!!!! It has been a welcome relief after many, many months of suffering. Many thanks to Dana for her patience and great sense of humor; a resounding thank you pales by comparison to the depth of gratitude I have for her and her skilled expertise in Acupuncture.

I am a big fan of Chinese medicine, especially combined with western medicine. Dana is so well trained in the classic Chinese method (and studied in China), that she is almost magical. Her ability to diagnose me, combined with her careful attention to my feelings and issues, makes every treatment so incredibly successful. She has helped me with pain management, stress management, and lately hot flashes due to the side effects of chemo. She really cares about her patients, is masterful in her recommendations of herbs (when necessary, to extend the effects of the treatments), and is an honest and trustworthy companion in my medical care. If you are new to acupuncture, or if you are looking for someone new, Dana is your go-to for a caring, thoughtful, and successful treatment. I cannot recommend anyone better.

Dana is a miracle worker. I have seen Dana for different ailments over the years, usually when Western Medicine fails. Dana is indispensible to feeling better for every medical condition. She has amazing listening and diagnosing skills. I recently was recovering from pnemonia and saw Dana to try and feel truly better even though my doctor said I just needed rest and patience since the antibiotics were done. Dana was able to tell I was suffering from shallow breathing (which also made it hard for me to rest) and gave me accupuncture and cupping treatments that opened my lungs back up after 1 session. It was amazing and I am so grateful. I also had a constant headache for 3 weeks that she allieviated. There is no reason to suffer and I cannot recommend Dana enough!

My experience at Midwest Acupuncture is always at a completely higher caliber compared to past treatments elsewhere. I am endlessly impressed by Dana’s knowledge, accuracy, and by her explanation of the techniques she employs. The key thing for me is that I always feel totally at ease during treatments. She professional at all times but also friendly, honest, and caring. Highly recommend!
