They by far are the worst service ever. Told driver was on the way and gave estimate of 90 minutes. Called them and they never came. Never answered back. Never provided update at all. Whenever we called they did not answer the phone and never even called back. Do not ever use this service.

This service blocked the street on the wrong side of the road (Kirkwood Ave SE Atlanta) and was hostile to cars trying to pass. Refused to move the truck when approached. I was not a participant in the event, just a witness.

Empire is contracted to monitor my apartment complex, Solstice Morningside. My girlfriend and I both have our cars registered with the Parkez app through our leasing office. For some reason they booted my car when it was parked in a legitimate parking area. We called and they said we did not have a permit for the car that got booted. We have both had our cars registered since we moved in August and have not been booted before. We told them this, and they kept saying we did not permits. We asked if they could tell us our account number and they couldn't. So apparently they were not even looking us up. We asked how come our other car wasn't booted since it was right beside our car that was booted. Since we didn't have any permits according to them, why was only one car booted?? Shouldn't they both have been booted? And how come they haven't been booted in the 6 months of us living here? The rep on the phone kept insisting we payed $150 to have the boots removed and then retroactively dispute why the car was booted with our office. I might have been born at night but I was not born last night. They run their business like a scam artist. They're sleazy con artists, not professionals. They refused to send anyone out to determine if we were correctly booted or if we were correct and they had made a mistake. I'm not sure if business has been slow for them lately and they were trying to make a buck on someone or if they just hire employees that can't read plates/do their job. Bottom line I would not use them in any circumstance and reading other reviews where their cars were damaged it looks like they are part of an industry with systemic problems due to lack of clarity in written laws pertaining to their work, lack of oversight/regulation on how they must conduct themselves in their business. You'd expect that there would be much higher legal standards for an industry that deals in forcefully taking or immobilizing other peoples personal property (that is usually very valuable). We need to demand legislators regulate this industry and make them have a higher standard of accountability to the people they affect, just like other productive industry like medicine, engineering, and hospitality.
