image Context: I started this review after 3 months of missed deadlines and am finishing it months after waiting for contracted items to be completed.
Review: On her website, Michele sells herself as a Project Manager, a Real Estate Agent and a Designer. What she actually is is one of the worst communicators I have ever worked with in my entire life. She has on multiple occasions flat-out lied about the status of the house she was project managing and selling. Setting appropriate expectations is a foreign concept to her. The first example of this was when we viewed the home during construction. After we looked at pictures of the intended finishes she said 'Give us a couple weeks and it'll be done.' The second instance was in regard to the water meter. She said they applied for it in September and it's public record so I found it was in October instead. Details are a nuisance to Michele and accountability is foreign concept.
When the offer was submitted, we suggested a 45-day closing to give them time to finish up some items. They refused and insisted on the 30-day closing. They missed that date. And the next. And the next. And so on... She cannot communicate an effective closing date to save her life. The closing date has been moved 6+ times because she cannot manage the inspection process.
I have been in contract for 3 months (4 months total).... She apparently 'didn't know' it was a 15-week lead time for getting the city to install a water meter. The contractors used to complete the construction missed basic items (resulting in water damage and subsequent repairs) and have failed the plumbing inspections. I called the city to confirm the details and expectations. They made it CLEAR what the expected timeline was so I know they communicated that to her.
Other items around the house completed poorly: didnt order the correct size attic stairs which resulted in them moving the opening after inspection and messing up the electricity to an outlet across the house, weather stripping installed inappropriately and need to be redone, tile/grout cracked, shower door installed unevenly, gouges in flooring left un addressed, HVAC not connected to master bedroom vents and a damaged driveway. This is a new construction and they failed miserably. In hindsight, I should have cancelled my contract.
I'm honestly disgusted at the lack of professionalism and follow-through. I understand that you operate at the whim of your seller, but you also need to keep your seller firmly rooted in reality. Delays that the seller/Michele were responsible for were 'not our fault.' I'm sorry, they are your fault as the project manager because you didnt manage your sub-contractors. You poorly managed the construction of a home and have strung me along for months.
To add to this, there are STILL items from the contract that Michele/seller has not addressed. There are floor planks that need replaced and after trying various stains, she brought in the man that did the foundation to consult. This man cant provide a level floor so I have NO confidence in his ability to replace the planks needed. Also, I havent heard a word. I have not followed up because the people hired to build this house were sub-par as was the listing agent. Ill get it done myself.
I saw a review that had said buyer beware about Michele. I MIGHT consider her for a design consult but she is a terrible project manager and a mediocre real estate agent.
