Fusion Academy was exactly the school that our daughter needed. It allowed her to heal emotionally after being bullied and gave her academic confidence. During her time at Fusion (spring, summer and fall 2022), she has become very focused on her academic and professional future thanks to the help, flexibility and caring of Fusions administration and our daughters excellent teachers. We cannot say enough about the support and academic expertise of her teachers. We are just so grateful that a school like Fusion exists.

Administration will say "We're here to help you, use us as a resource." However when I brought things to him, the response was literally "that isn't a problem"......
Teachers here learn quickly that administration can't be counted on for help. You are either told you are the problem, or they agree something should be done, and then nothing ever happens.
There is an extreme disconnect from the Head of School and the rest of the staff. They make absurd promises to parents, but leave the hourly paid teachers to figure out all the details. It's like they have no idea what goes into teaching 10 different subjects across 5 grade levels to 15 different students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia etc. All while also being asked to mentor them as human beings through their formative years.
Fusion has an "It's a banana what could it cost, 10$?" vibe. You see it when your boss rolls up after everyone else is already working, pulling his luxury car in between two 20-year-old beaters his teachers arrived in an hour ago. You hear it when students complain about Fusion's college-level tuition rates and you realize only 10% of that is going to you, the one doing all of the teaching. You hear it again when your boss claims that getting you a couple extra hours 6 months ago is proof that he "fights for his teachers." Then again when your salaried boss claims that "education isn't about the money"............
Fusion has a 70% turnover rate that is more befitting a teenager's summer job than a school. It's not just the sign of an exploitative business strategy, it hurts the kids too.
It's like the founder looked at the current education system and asked "How can I make it even harder for teachers to earn a living?"
We hear every day about how administration "wants feedback and is there to help". But it's only talk. More than a year ago we talked about better communication, and we still get the same "weekly email blast" that is 90% the same copy-pasted message with random bits changed here and there that teachers are supposed to search for like some sort of game. We've asked for student pictures so we know who we're teaching, we've asked for more planning time, we've asked for full schedules that don't have unpaid gaps, but nothing has happened.

Fusion was an awesome experience for my daughter. The individual instruction and attention gave her confidence and curiosity for learning that she never had. Thank you fusion for a great experience.
