I was here for 10 months, and I started doing research on cults shortly before I left because of how strange things were getting and HOC meets enough cult criterias to be considered one. It's unethical and weird... They're not what they say they are. And as for the review mentioning the hostile environment, I can confirm that's true

My daughter was there less than 24 hours as she called me telling me that they took her phones that they cant have electronics there that they cant have no contact with their families for less they cant contact their families for more than 48 hours. theyre not allowed to leave the campus and they have to stay. Everything is supervised. They have to get permission for everything. She was telling me that she had to get permission for her kids to go outside on the playground so baby let me tell you I called my relatives in Georgia. Go pick my daughter up. Thats what they did and shes gonna be flying back home to California. I will say to people please do your research before you just up and move somewhere because it is all not what it seems and it gave me cold so I told my daughter know you got, get out of here so she wouldnt even there a good 24 hours and she was up out of there today

I had a terrible time here and left with more trauma then success. The only way they let me leave is because I was deathly sick. There was bleach constantly in the vents, I reported the organization shortly after leaving. Families and children are not safe here, the staff is highly abusive and $$ hungry. The ministry is odd, and most the folks here don't do anything or barley feed you even if you receive food stamps. They played one or two favorites and it was a hostile community. I'm lucky and doing better in my life than i ever would've in this paticular program i was reffered to. I found a much more suitable faith based oganization that cared and now I'm doing a lot better and finally healed out on my own. Do your research. Before hand and be cautious, and in most programs they take your phone and you have to beg and sign sheets to make any type of personal call to a family member or anyone. They number the smarter folks out, so that they won't get reported. The folks and legal case management should loose there licenses, due to the poor care here and discrimination.
