Lock and Key

Awesome cute place. From the beginning service was terrible. First we paid $18 just to park. Got inside not greeted friendly at all. We should of left then. We sat down and were left for maybe 10 minutes before we got drinks. We only order apps because the waitress disappeared and the place was empty. Severs hanging out at the hostess desk. I do not recommend. PS... tip is already included. Parking: Parking deck and street parking. Same prices Kid-friendliness: I would not recommend for children.

Takes extremely long time to get food. Understaffed in kitchen. Food is just sub par.

Ill get straight to the point. Very slow service, half of the items on the menu werent available, we only ordered appetizers and drinks. Appetizers came out and were wrong. The drinks came out right before we were ready to leave. Speakers were blasting so loud over the table I couldnt hear the person next to me. This could have just been a bad night but I will not make a second trip to find out.

I recently went to Lock & Key for a private event. A friend rented out the place for a birthday party. There were about 50-100 ppl in attendance and it was set up like a normal night. Sit wherever you'd like, mingle, hang out at the bar...whatever works best for you. I came alone and said hi to a few familiar faces and met new ones as well. Most of this took place at the bar as I tried to order a drink. It took an hour. I finally go sit down and order another cocktail from the waitress. Another hour passes by and I still don't have it. So, I go back to the bar hoping that it would be faster than the previous encounter. As I'm standing there the waitress arrives with my beverage. I drink it while I wait for the bartender to complete mine. I was annoyed with him...I ordered, but for some reason he's still taking orders and making their drinks first (4 drinks in total). I'm assuming because mine is a specialty cocktail and theirs are beers and wine. Once it arrives, I start drinking it as I wait for the check and realize that he didn't make me what I ordered. He made a traditional old fashion instead of the specialty one on the menu. I ask him about it and he says, "oh, I forgot." Had he not taken 4 orders after mine it wouldn't have happened. Instead of having him make it for me again since it took forever, I decided to keep it. I'm now talking to the waitress who gave me the drink while I was in line. She was telling me that she was going to discount my drink due to it taking such a long time. While in conversation with her, I'm still drinking the cocktail I received at the bar. Something shoots into my straw and I catch it with my tongue. I take it out of my mouth and it's glass!! WTH??!! I immediately show her and she's in shock. She instantly goes to tell her manager. He ultimately tells her that they can take 10% off of my bill for the previous drink and give me a new drink to replace the one with GLASS in it. Ummm, I'm all set it consuming anything else at that point. What makes matters worse, when I look at my bill I noticed that they had been adding a mandatory "large party" 20% fee even when I went to order from the bar. $21 for a drink that was made incorrectly AND has glass in it. No one refunded me for it. So....all in all, it's a nice venue. I really wanted to like it here but the service and experience completely turned me off. I have no plans on ever returning.
