Mixins Rolled Ice Cream

I worked here for about 4/5 months. They would not pay me my tips in card and would not even be efficient with cash tips. I had to ask and ask and ask for any response for over a month. Eventually, they fired me for the persistent asking because I threatened to talk to my attorney. STILL nothing. When they said they couldnt help me, I asked for the number of the owner because I have met her and I know who she is. I was told they werent allowed to do that.. shes my boss too?? Like what? Trust me, they do not treat their employees right and they do not do well with ADA/Disability accommodations. I asked to receive a chair in the back where I can take breaks due to my disability(s). They said sure and I was like okay great! When I actually needed it, it was nowhere to be found in the entire store. When I followed up, theyd said it should be there and it was not. They eventually told me to just sit in the front despite one of the whole reasons for my needing breaks was for social exhaustion due to my neurological disability (autism) and for back pain when it is debilitating. Customers do NOT like to see workers in the front just sitting around on their phones. Even when I did sit down, I was told that I wasnt allowed to take breaks when it was busy (there were 2 customers) which then defeated the entire purpose of my needing breaks again. Please dont give them money if they wont even give us, the (former) employees, what they deserve. They fired people left and right around December 2023/January 2024. And now all of these other reviews are saying that they need to hire more staff THEY FIRED US ALL WITH NO WARNING OR PROPER INCENTIVE!!!! They were giving all of their hours to the newer employees and practically forcing the original employees (me included) off the schedule. They would ghost us and remove us from all platforms in which we were in contact. They said their original second store failed I wonder why.. Heath standards are also not great.. i got 0 on my tax returns under tips from them. Dont waste your money.

I was with my family in midtown because we own businesses around the area. We were looking for rolled ice cream and this place was the closest to us. The girl that took our order gave us the worst costumer service ever, she was moody AF, miserable face, she didnt even say hi to us ( the place was completely empty) I asked her if there was Nutella flavor, she didnt even looked at me, and just nodded NO with her head. After that, I realized they actually do have hazelnut flavor as an option, but she obviously didnt care and never gave me the option of trying that option thats similar to Nutella . You can tell not many people enter the place, and as a business owner I can tell you that having employees with such horrible attitude wont help your business grow . She made me feel depressed just by seeing her face. Not sure what was her problem with us, we came with best intentions to spend money and for all of us to get ice cream, but after dealing with her attitude, we just ordered 2 ice creams and left ( we were 5 people) We obviously never coming back. You need to hire people that actually want to work, if she doesnt like her job, she should look for a different one . Overpriced for what you get . Not worth it at all.

I want to like this place the first time we came during business hours and they were closed. The second I got ice cream for the kiddos but there was nobody there so it felt a little sad. The most recent time I came we waited 45 minutes and still waiting Saturday night, one person working, she keeps taking orders and taking peoples money without mentioning that it will take her an hour to actually get your ice cream. I want this place to work. Please hire someone!
