My mom is currently a patient there. I do like her treatment but I can't seem to make an appointment. I have left messages and emailed and do not get a response, not to mention being put on hold for over 30 minutes.

Our experiences with IMC have been wonderful. These people treat my wife and I like family. I don't think there is a better place for her care and help for my as the caregiver than IMC.

When Nancy learned she had Alzheimers in 2019, we felt at sea when her neurologist did nothing more than prescribe a pill. Her neuropsychologist assigned her to see a student for therapy. Nancy liked her and felt it help. Within two months the student was gone. That help ended. We have a friend in Dallas YX who is a geriatric doctor. We told him our difficulties in getting help. He arranged for us to see personnel at the Atlanta Alzheimers Association Chapter. They proved very helpful through their support groups for patients and caregivers. In the caregivers group I expressed my frustrations about the lack of concrete hep form medical professionals. A half dozen others in the group said you need to go to Emory. They provide excellent continuing support. We applied, and the IMCC accepted us into the program. More importantly they delivered. Their staffs warmth as human beings proved a real boost for Nancy. Their ZOOM program for caregivers (it was COVID time) developed with the cooperation of the Emory Nurses School made me a much better caregiver. If something they suggested we try did not work well, they offered alternatives. If a medicine they ordered seemed not to work, they listened and either just stopped it or offered an alternative. If we had questions in writing or by phone, they responded quickly. They did not waste our time and their effort on unproven potentially miracle drug cures. They explained why they would not help in our case. Most importantly, they never promised us a rose garden. They promised to work hard with us to make this terrible disease process as comfortable as it could be for us. They have done just that. We appreciate their continuing excellent support

My wife has received excellent primary care at Emory Integrated Memory Care Clinic. The entire staff there is dedicated, available, and experienced. They know what they are doing to help patients with an all but impossible disease.

The Emory Integrated Memory Care Clinic has been our life saver since we moved to Atlanta two years ago. While we were with a geriatrician prior to our move, the value of being in a clinic that focused on neurological issues is invaluable. Alison is our Nurse Practitioner. She always responds to my questions, whether posed by phone or through the patient portal. The social workers are phenomenal resources to guide you in your caregiving and help you understand more about the disease. They clinic also has an after hours help line that is immediately answered by a medical professional. I used that when my husband was hospitalized in the middle of the night and I needed to know more about the treatment options presented to me. As hard as it is, I appreciate their gentle manner, allowing the family to decide on medical treatments. This clinic focuses on the patient's quality of life and the medical treatment that enhances his/her quality of life. I think that's important with dementia patients because some treatments will only make their situation worse. The Emory Integrated Memory Care Clinic is one of the best supports that I have to care for my dear husband of 40 years!
