My rating thus far is based on the 5 month wait to see Dr Brandt. My doctor called him and they discussed my case. Even after that, neither Dr. Brandt nor any of his associates could see me. Once I see him, I will update accordingly.

Dr. Giraldi has been a complete waste of my time. Blood work and other specialists keep insisting that we are missing something and Dr. Giraldi simply refuses to examine further or order more blood work to provide a better picture of what is going on. She has been treating me for three months, and I have repeatedly told her that I'm continuing to decline but she essentially tells me that nothing else is wrong and it isn't her problem. Do not trust Emory specialists with your care. They do not care about you as a patient, and definitely will not listen to you as a patient or even other specialists. She has caused a significant delay in me receiving proper care and I'm going to be forced to suffer the next several months in debilitating pain until I can see new specialists. These doctors are definitely not worth the wait time for an appointment with them and you will be much better off finding care elsewhere.

I do not receive return calls from Urology. I leave messages on the portal, and by phone. To no avail. Messages I do receive are so screwed up they have to call again to clarify.

I have been waiting since March to see a Doctor. It was recommended by Dr to see someone at Emory about my diabetes. I would have been a new patient. I make an appointment. Emory calls and cancels it. It has happened so many times I have lost count. Today when they called, I had had enough. I will be looking for an endocrinogist outside of the Emory system.

If I could give a 0, I would. This place used to be so well managed but I cant say the same anymore. Ive been a patient at Emory for years. Ive been waiting 3 MONTHS for a prescription. You read that right, 3 MONTHS. In addition to that, Ive been waiting 2 months for an appeal to be sent to my insurance. They denied my typical insulin and asked I use a generic. Im all about trying something less expensive, if it works the same. However, it hasnt. My blood sugar is barely below 200. For reference, my past A1C was 6.6 so I keep tight control on things. Ive called the office every day, even speaking with supervisors for assistance. They tell me theyre working on the appeal and it will be sent to insurance before the end of the week. Every week they give me the same response but my insurance has yet to receive anything. Emory even went to the extent to tell me they sent it two weeks so when I didnt hear anything from my insurance last week, I was shocked to hear they never received it. So Emory lied about submitting my appeal. I sent two messages through their patient portal over a week ago asking for help with getting my blood sugar down, I even included reports from my Dexcom for proof, and I have yet to hear back from anyone. Last night, I just barely avoided an ER visit. My sugar was so high it didnt register on my Dexcom. After a couple of hours, I was finally able to get my sugar under 400. Im absolutely horrified at the lack of response Empory has showed over the past 3 months. Its clear the value of patients lives is not important. I would go anywhere but here when looking for a doctor to help manage and maintain a healthy lifestyle for yourself.
