However, you and I both know that your son's case was dismissed by the Fulton County Superior Court, and the case never settled for any amount. On November 8, 2013, I filed a notice of withdrawal as your attorney in the case, which the Court granted without any objection whatsoever from you. I mailed a certified letter to you at the home address you provided to advise you of my withdrawal (Certified Mail Receipt No. 70993400001062686041), but it was returned and marked "Attempted--Not Known". I also attempted several times to reach you by phone, unsuccessfully.Nonetheless, you easily should have been able to determine that the Court allowed me to withdraw from your son's case on November 22, 2013. According to the Clerk of Fulton County Superior Court records, your son's case was dismissed on summary judgment on March 18, 2014, long after I had withdrawn from the case.I suggest you visit the website of the Clerk of Fulton County Superior Court (V.S. v. Atlanta Independent School System, et al, Civil Action File No. 2012CV211760), if you have any questions about your son's case. Further, if you or anyone ever suspects an attorney has stolen settlement proceeds from you as their client, the proper course of action is to immediately file a complaint against that attorney with the State Bar. This is a very serious allegation, and the attorney likely would be disbarred for stealing from a client.
