Great location for Market HOWEVER rooms were very low quality and cost way more than air bnbs close by. Glass shower doors installed incorrectly and sound like it will shatter when it closes. Cieling was filthy from the ac blowing on it. That Did NOT help our allergies.. but staff was helpful. Bar didn't have ANY off their advertised drinks on the menu. Spent $30 for 2 drinks that were not good. I watched the bartender pull out 1/2 a Flat coke to make which was the only coke she had. They really need corporate to fix a lot of the issues. Update 2024. Got a room with no mini fridge although I chose an upgraded room rather than what we normally get. Staff was exceptional this time however! Customer service has stepped their game up! This is not a place I will be staying at again. We were he for the Big South Volleyball tournament, lots of people! The hotel has a large area in the lobby with seats and a pool table so it was a great place for the teams to chill. There is a bar that also serves food. Checking in took awhile and the guy said hello and that was all. I had to listen to the other person just to get the details about breakfast, checkout. There is a lighted panel behind them with holes that makes it incredibly hard to even look at them. The wait for the elevators going up was long and the elevators themselves are so dark with the red and blue lights that you cannot read the floor buttons. The rooms are small with the absolute minimum lighting you can imagine. The room was hot and the air would only go down so far. I had to buy a fan to keep the room from getting stuffy. The sink wouldnt drain and the toilet was controlled by a gremlin! The noises it made when you flushed and again at 2:00 in the morning was not fun. The tv had no signal so we could not use that. The upside is that the beds were very comfortable! The location is good if you want to be in downtown. We were able to walk to several places in 5 minutes. For checkout, with all those teams there, the had 1 employee staffed. Overall, not a terrible place but for the price they charged ($225 per night), go somewhere else.
